Retractable Covering for Pergolas – Lucia Restaurant, Harrogate
Although this popular Italian restaurant is located within an impressive period property, the outside space was limited to a small terrace with two umbrellas. As a result, the area could only be used in fine weather and wasn’t accessible from the main building itself. Without a doubt, this proved a challenge for customers and staff alike.
- Loca Shading Designs created a substantial structure to fit snugly into the building shape, whilst fitting into the existing balustrade.
- Additional seating can now be utilised year-round because of the retractable roof system.
- A new doorway directly from the restaurant to the terrace has also helped to integrate all areas of the restaurant.
- The end result perfectly blends modern practicality with traditional architecture and has changed the use of the area dramatically.
